1958 Dodge Coronet Super D500 For Sale By Copperstate Classic Cars

This rare 1958 Dodge was sold new by J.E French Co in San Francisco and it spent it’s life in and around San Francisco.

It was ordered in one of the rarest color combination you could get on a 1958 Dodge, Iridescent Charcoal and Iridescent Silver with a red/black interior, stunning color combination.

Around 30+ years ago the left front fender was replaced and the Dodge was repainted in the original color. The paint is still nice, not perfect but very nice.

26 years ago the owner thought he saw a puff of smoke behind the car so he drove it into his garage, pulled the original 325 engine out of the car and put a cover over the Dodge.

25 years later we removed the cover and brought the Dodge to our shop in Phoenix, Arizona.

We installed a 361 engine with dual 4 bbl carburetors, rebuilt the brakes, we replaced the cloth on the seats and dyed the original vinyl in the original red color. 80%-90% of the interior is still original and very nice. The board headliner is very nice.

We bought the best quality aftermarket dash pad money can buy, made in Sweden and we installed it.

We installed new wide white wall tires, a new dual exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers and we added correct power brakes.

We had the radiator re-cored, the carb’s rebuilt, all new plugs, points, thermostat, radiator hoses, etc were installed.

New water pump, fuel pump, etc, etc.

A new trunk interior was made and installed, new battery installed and many more things that has to be done when you work with a car that has been sitting for decades.

The Dodge is still an unrestored car and it is really, really nice.

The car runs and drives excellent, like only an unrestored car runs!

We drive the Dodge on occasion both around town and on the freeway but we have 3 1958 Dodge Custom Royal Lancer convertibles to restore so we are saying good bye to this sweet Dodge.
